Description

Cypress #1 is shown here in Pecky Cypress rescued from a 300-year-old roof of an abandoned building, its beguiling dark pockets both an echo of the material’s past and a mark of nature’s own artistry; custom orders can also be made in maple, ash or recycled lumber.

The sculpted design is built around a removable, bespoke glass LED light source with a 360-degree beam angle. The light itself sits inside a glass tube with a delicately scalloped interior, reinforced with a woven heat-resistant sleeve for texture and durability; shown here with a 91cm (3ft) light source, though the bulb’s length can be customised to need.

Alongside wood and finish customisation, the lamp can be wired for any country, and is available with either smart integration or a traditional step switch. All electrical elements are UL-certified.

Studio Kloak is a sustainable, zero-waste design studio focusing on lighting and functional objects. Part design studio, part incubator, the studio prides itself on creating a safe environment rooted in education and experimentation. All objects are handmade, using innovative building and material methods, from biomaterials to the collection of abandoned buildings.
