A sculptural presence with a purpose, the Sama High Stool by Studio Kali is more than just a functional piece—it is an artful interpretation of movement, culture, and craftsmanship. Part of the award-winning Sama Collection, this elegantly minimal yet striking design transforms everyday seating into an expressive statement.
Inspired by the mesmerizing motion of whirling dervishes in Sama ceremonies, the stool embodies the fluidity of spinning garments through its carefully crafted conic geometry. The design seamlessly blends traditional craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics, utilizing metal bending techniques to create a piece that is both visually captivating and structurally sound.
Handcrafted by skilled wood and metal artisans, the Sama High Stool is a testament to the harmony between materiality and form. Whether placed in a modern kitchen, a stylish bar, or a refined lounge space, it brings a distinctive character and sophisticated elegance to its surroundings. More than just a seat, it offers an emotional experience, evoking movement, balance, and timeless beauty.
Recognized with prestigious accolades, including the Silver A’ Design Award (2020) and Design Turkey Superior Design Award (2019), the Sama Collection exemplifies excellence in design, bringing a sense of emotion and uniqueness into modern interiors.
