Inspired by the intertwined patterns of brain coral, this lamp by Diploria Lighting brings the captivating beauty of the underwater world into any space.Its design uses reaction-diffusion patterns that mimic coral’s natural growth processes, an algorithm that captures the interplay of chemical morphogens spreading and reacting, much like coral polyps gradually building their calcium carbonate structures.The lampshade is made from a warm white, corn starch-based biopolymer, biodegradable to ISO 14855. It is robust and waterproof, making it easy to clean.Fitted with an E27 lamp socket on a 1 m textile cable and a metal ceiling cup. Bulb not included – use any E27 LED bulb, max. 12 W; we recommend warm white 2200–2700 K. Available in two sizes: H2L (25 x 25 x 25 cm) and H2C (31 x 31 x 31 cm).

Technical details: no switch (operated via wall switch), dimmable with a dimmable LED bulb and compatible dimmer. Ceiling cup, screws and wall plugs included. Suitable for sloped ceilings as the shade hangs plumb from the cable. Recommended mounting height: approx. 70–80 cm above a dining table, or min. 2.1 m clearance above floor in walkways. Simple assembly: the shade clicks onto the socket tripod by hand. For indoor use in dry locations; installation by a qualified electrician recommended. CE marked.
