Annie Legault, a fibre-based artist and advocate of slow design, handcrafts each of her textile sculptures in her Old Montreal studio. Through her studio Amulette, founded in 2013, she creates refined, concept-driven works that merge functional design with traditional craftsmanship, rooted in ancestral techniques and human-scale making rather than mass production or digital shortcuts.
Luzule, named after a grass native to forested regions, is both a tribute to plant life and a sculptural light object designed to transform interior spaces into poetic, organic environments. Standing at 8 feet tall, Luzule blurs the line between sculpture and function, favouring soft geometry, tactile materiality and handmade irregularity to suggest botanical forms through a contemporary lens.
Created entirely from natural materials, this monumental piece is made to order and can be customised in size and colour to suit residential, commercial or public spaces. Bulb not included.
