The Trono Armchair was born from the desire to create a piece with presence and power. Inspired by the symbolism of historic chairs of authority, Trono reinterprets the idea of a throne through a contemporary sculptural language.
The piece was created to unite grandeur and comfort in a single form. Its design was conceived so that, when sitting and leaning back, the structure responds to the distribution of the body’s weight, providing a feeling of support and adaptation, as if sitting on a cloud.
Trono is handcrafted from Jequitibá Rosa, a Brazilian hardwood. Its construction involves the use of a manual wood lathe, with each element worked individually. Every leg, sphere, curve, and structural detail is turned and sculpted by hand, making the making process an essential part of the piece’s identity.
The result is an armchair that goes beyond its function: a sculptural piece that brings together wood, form, comfort, and craftsmanship in a contemporary interpretation of a throne.
