    Description

    The Serwetka Lamp is part of The Romance Collection — a continuing dialogue between embroidery, carpentry and smithery. The piece was inspired by hand-embroidered aprons and napkins, particularly the intricate motifs of openwork embroidery, whose hand-drawn patterns became a conceptual starting point for translating textile into structural form.

    Perforations in the aluminium echo the lace-like voids of embroidery; these cut-outs let the aluminium sheets be ‘stitched’ together with gathered textile ruffles, turning decorative detail into function.

    As with the rest of The Romance Collection, the lamp continues a generational story of craft — bridging the intimate world of domestic textiles with the cool hardness of industrial materials.
