Lost Pendant 6 is a member of the LOST collection, made by lost-wax casting. As an experimental approach to design and making, LOST aims to carry the authenticity and creativity of the conceptual work through to the finished object, producing pieces directly from cardboard models.
The wax model for casting is built by dipping cardboard models into melted wax several times; each dip adds a layer of thickness, and the cardboard grows into a unique form as the wax flows and drips differently each time. The models are then moulded and cast in aluminium, resulting in one-of-a-kind creations.
The process allows for complex forms refined into a single-piece body, eliminating complicated production and assembly steps, the pieces are durable, repairable and recyclable, at once sustainable, circular and sculptural.
The pendant comes with a chrome-mirror-finish 5cm ceiling rose and an E27/E26 socket, in a chrome mirror or opal bulb finish. Bulbs are supplied at 220V as standard; contact for a 110V option.
