The De La Paz Low Chair reinterprets the traditional three-legged chair through a sculptural solid wood structure defined by its distinctive proportions. Its lower profile brings a relaxed presence to the design, while slender rear legs meet a broad, dual-column wooden back that rises like an architectural pillar. Two slender wooden uprights support a gently curved, crescent-shaped backrest that appears to float between them, embracing the back and providing support.

A central wooden ring connects the two uprights, creating a distinctive sculptural detail. Its horizontal wood grain contrasts with the vertical grain of the rear legs, adding visual depth and emphasizing the interplay of directions within the design. The softly contoured, upholstered seat and backrest bring warmth and inviting comfort to the chair’s striking architectural silhouette. The interplay between the sculptural wooden frame and the plush upholstery balances structural clarity with a feeling of calm and effortless comfort, making it well suited to living spaces and lounge settings.

We are Andrea Flores and Lucía Soto. We have worked designing together since 2010, and in 2014 we founded Comité de Proyectos, a company dedicated to interior design and furniture sales, located in Mexico City.What we enjoy most about our work is translating emotions and sensations into utilitarian objects and living spaces; that is, internalization.
