PUFF-BUFF was founded in 2004 by Anna Siedlecka (designer, experimenter, design curator) and Radek Achramowicz (designer, architect, lecturer). Since then PUFF-BUFF designs and produces innovating lighting, acclaimed as „MADE OF AIR”. The original idea is based on pneumatic technology and it uses AIR, most ecological and renewable substance, as a building material.The air captured in thin membranes gains extraordinary strength and gives the lamps a unique look and fascinating properties: light weight, flexibility, portability, raw-material efficiency, breakage-resistance. PUFF-BUFF lamps are also really energy efficient, thanks to LED and other energy-saving light sources used, together with specially designed electronics. XXL structures made by PUFF-BUFF are extremely lightweight so they can be used in delicate ceilings and wherever conventional, heavy fixtures are not suitable. Co-founder Anna Siedlecka was honoured with 40 UNDER 40, the award for 40 most promising young European designers in 2009. The lamps and chandeliers by PUFF-BUFF hang and shine in many interior design projects around the world.The manufacturing process base on European materials and small local companies and craftsmen. Founders of PUFF BUFF are actively involved in the design and production and devoted to idea of lightweight light. All PUFF-BUFF lamps are finally assembled by hand in a studio-lab in Warsaw with love and lots of care for each detail.PUFF-BUFF’s flagship lighting system the Bubbles, enables production of custom-made lighting, including large-size ones. These XXL structures are in fact PUFF-Buff's speciality. The biggest chandelier made till now was 8m high (26 ft). This result is waiting to be beaten :-)
