FAQ
Is the brightness of this lamp adjustable?

Yes, but not with a standard dimmer switch. A leather tab on the base slides up or down to move the light source closer to or further from the paper pulp shade, which raises or lowers the brightness.

What light source does it use, and is it included?

The lamp uses an LED as its light source, built into the sliding mechanism. For exact bulb specifications, use Chat with the maker on this page.

Will the lamp work with the electrical outlets in my country?

This isn't specified in the listing, so check with the maker directly using Chat with the maker on this page before ordering.

Can I request a different size, color, or material combination?

Yes, this piece can be customized upon request — reach out via Chat with the maker to discuss options.

How long will it take to receive my lamp?

This is a made-to-order piece that usually ships within 1 week of your order.

Can I return this lamp if I change my mind?

ADORNO offers a 14-day return policy, but made-to-order pieces like this one are excluded from that policy.

Does the lamp come with any proof of authenticity?

Yes, a certificate of authenticity is included with every piece.

How should I care for the aluminum, leather, and paper pulp materials?

Specific care instructions aren't listed here — ask the maker directly through Chat with the maker on this page.

Description

The Overcast is a table lamp by Calen Knauf Studio, built from an aluminium cylindrical base topped with a shade of blended paper pulp. Light passes through the pulp shade the way sun filters through overcast cloud cover, giving the piece its name and its soft, diffused glow.Rather than relying on a dimmable driver, the light source is dimmed mechanically: a leather tab set into the side of the cylindrical base slides up or down, moving the LED closer to or further from the shade to control brightness.
