    Helen turns an industrial artefact into a collectible object: reclaimed 19th-century brick from Troy, New York — once a hub of industrial invention in the Hudson Valley — forms the base, each piece carrying its original maker’s stamp and over a century of natural patina. A weightless, frosted glass sphere rests on top, creating a deliberate visual tension between the heavy, weathered masonry below and the light form above.

    Designed and made by SOLMISTUDIO in Brooklyn, Helen is produced as an open, stamped-and-numbered edition — each lamp genuinely unique, since the brick type is specified at purchase. The finish is sanded and waxed.
