The Dragon Lamp by Vincent Decat is an entirely handmade lighting sculpture that takes inspiration from myths. With its bold, sculptural form, it looks like a creature from another world, frozen in time. Crafted from copper and plaster, it combines texture and form to create a striking presence.
Part of the Modern Creature series, the Dragon Lamp is one of two lamps that embody creature-like qualities which seem to move and change over time. By giving them a sense of life, they become small companions, like pets that people cherish, hold onto, and consider friends.

The lamp can be adapted for installation in any country with a voltage range of 220–230V.
Features a dimmer for adjustable brightness.

Vincent Decat is a Paris-based craft designer who graduated from the Design Academy of Eindhoven in 2023 and creates pieces that blend sculpture, design, and art. His design philosophy is centered around creating emotionally engaging pieces that last. He believes that the stronger our bond with an object, the more we care for it, protect it, and hold onto it. His work seeks to give objects a sense of life, transforming them into companions — like little pets — that people cherish and keep over time.
