Description

Megastar by PUFF-BUFF is an impressively sized chandelier "made of air", inspired by traditional crystal chandeliers but redefined with modern technology. Part of the STARS collection of spherical lamps, which began with the original Star in 2004 and runs to the 180 cm Gigastar, it makes a dramatic design statement while staying light enough to install safely in a wide variety of interiors, including those with delicate ceiling structures.

Built on the proprietary BUBBLES® system, it uses 260 air-filled modules in transparent, electronically welded PVC suspended on a polished stainless steel frame. The PVC has a built-in UV filter that permanently preserves the bubbles’ crystal clarity. Any single bubble can be swapped out if damaged.

260 integrated LED light points, one per bubble, in neutral white (3500K) or warm white (2700K), on safe low voltage from a transformer hidden in the steel ceiling rose. Suspension length is 150 cm as standard and fully customisable; custom colours beyond the standard whites are available, and a dimmable option with a dedicated dimmer can be provided on request. Handcrafted in Europe, fully recyclable and CE certified. Technical specifications, installation manuals and 3D models are available on request.

PUFF-BUFF was founded in 2004 by Anna Siedlecka (designer, experimenter, design curator) and Radek Achramowicz (designer, architect, lecturer).
