EN / Maison Cédrat is a french creative house specializing in the design of objects, textiles and lighting. We are based in the Mediterranean basin, and we work mainly with the know-how specific to this region. We design objects for the home based on what we find outside. We draw a lot of our inspiration from the moods and landscapes around the Mediterranean. Our creations explore the emotion and dreaminess of these sensitive observations, which we’d like to share with you. Established around the Mediterranean basin, we mainly work with the know-how specific to this region. The human hand and the way it transforms matter is at the heart of our thinking. We therefore favor short circuits. We produce our works mainly in France. Also, painting and drawing are means of expression that we’ve both practiced since childhood. They are part of our creative process. That’s why each collection is often associated with hangings, paintings or drawings. Finally, Maison Cédrat is the union of Alix and Pierre. Alix trained in object and space design. Pierre has a background in textile design. Implantés autour du bassin méditerranéen, nous travaillons principalement avec les savoir-faire propres à cette région. La main de l'homme et la façon dont elle transforme la matière sont au cœur de notre réflexion. Nous privilégions donc les circuits courts. Nous produisons nos œuvres principalement en France. Par ailleurs, la peinture et le dessin sont des moyens d'expression que nous pratiquons tous les deux depuis l'enfance. Ils font partie de notre processus créatif. C'est pourquoi chaque collection est souvent associée à des tentures, des peintures ou des dessins. Enfin, Maison Cédrat est l'union d'Alix et de Pierre. Alix a suivi une formation en design d'objet et d'espace. Pierre a une formation en design textile.
