Estela – Freestanding Floor Lamp
by Bruno Olavarrieta · Tulum, Mexico

Born in the Caribbean; my work is deeply inspired by the rich culture of the region, especially the Mayan and Pre-Hispanic cultures. With deep respect for our traditions, I seek to merge ancestral aesthetics with modern designs, creating spaces that are not only visually striking but also culturally significant. My Approach and Philosophy My goal is to bring images from the past into contemporary designs, using traditional handcrafted methods passed down through generations. Every project I undertake is a way to honor our heritage while providing my clients with a unique and authentic experience, where the past and present come together. What Makes Me Different What sets me apart is my focus on cultural preservation through design. I use traditional techniques and materials, like those used in Pre-Hispanic times, adapting them to the needs of modern design. This way, not only do you get a visually impactful space, but you also contribute to supporting and preserving our cultural traditions.
