The FINA Chair is a sculptural wooden chair designed as an exercise in restraint, balancing slender proportions and visual lightness with structural strength, comfort, and everyday functionality. Every element is refined to its essential form, creating a delicate silhouette with a strong architectural presence.

Crafted using traditional mortise and tenon joinery, the chair features exposed wedges that reinforce the structure while making its construction visible. Rather than concealing the joinery, FINA celebrates the relationship between its components and the craftsmanship behind them.

Multiple woodworking techniques come together throughout the design. Laminated and shaped elements introduce subtle curves, while turned components add rhythm and precision. Hand-finished details enhance the tactile quality of the wood, giving the chair warmth and individuality.

The seat is available in several configurations, including solid wood, woven paper cord, and slatted versions. Each interpretation offers a distinct material character while maintaining the same refined structural framework. Solid wood emphasizes continuity and richness; woven paper cord introduces texture and lightness; and the slatted seat highlights the chair’s construction and architectural character.

Available in walnut or ash, with a range of seat configurations, the FINA Chair combines solid wood craftsmanship, traditional joinery, sculptural design, and considered proportions.
