Laco explores a quiet dialogue between material, light and form for PletoStudio, balanced between raw presence and refined restraint as an atmospheric object suited to calm, gallery-oriented interiors.
Its shade is a hand-assembled linen structure: natural linen cut into small geometric fragments and individually fixed with delicate thread loops, creating a subtle sense of movement, like fine fibres suspended in air. The layered textile surface diffuses light into a warm, soft glow.
The base is hand-formed from Pleto Biocomposite, the studio’s own material made from clay, hemp fibres, cellulose, wood shavings, mineral powders and an eco-friendly binder. Its form stays intentionally irregular, carrying the quiet tension of handmade work, so each piece holds its own silhouette and presence and is never fully repeatable.
The whole is finished in a deep matte black that absorbs light and emphasises form, volume and shadow, letting the object exist in a calm, architectural way defined by form rather than effect. Size can be customised on request.
