Vereteno is a sculptural floor lamp inspired by the ancient spindle, an archetypal symbol of continuity, balance and inner axis. Its silhouette reads as a quiet vertical gesture, combining material weight with visual lightness.
The conical base is hand-shaped from Pleto Biocomposite, PletoStudio’s signature material made from clay, hemp fibres, cellulose, wood shavings, mineral powders and an eco-friendly binder, its surface refined and finished with a deep matte mineral pigment — velvety and light-absorbing, free of gloss or reflection, so the form reads as pure and monolithic while subtle textural irregularities stay visible as a mark of handcraft.
The lampshade is built from natural linen, wrapped by hand around the frame in soft vertical layers, with exposed fibres and loose threads left visible for a gently aged, tactile effect. Lit, warm light filters through the woven structure, revealing the fabric’s texture in an intimate, atmospheric glow — set against the deeply matte, almost graphite-toned base for a restrained but emotionally resonant contrast.
