Veil II Ember is a table lamp by Hania Jneid.
Hand-built in stoneware, Veil pairs a raw clay base with a perforated, gold-anodised aluminium shade — a screen inspired by mashrabiyya and celosía, two traditions of filtered light from opposite shores of the Mediterranean. Switched on, the perforations scatter light across the room in shifting constellations, echoing the way memory itself reveals only in fragments.
Part of Hania Jneid’s ongoing exploration of emotional objects for fragile memories, Veil sits at the meeting point of Beirut and Barcelona — the metal veiling the clay as history veils the present.
Hand-built, one of a kind. Made in Beirut.
