    Description

    The S 1 is a table lamp by diploria studio, inspired by the intertwined patterns of brain coral. The design features reaction-diffusion patterns that mimic the natural growth processes creating coral’s hypnotic textures — the algorithm captures the interplay of different chemical morphogens spreading and reacting, similar to how coral polyps gradually build their calcium carbonate structures.

    The lampshade is biodegradable and made of a warm white corn starch-based biopolymer. It can be easily separated from the lamp’s base thanks to its magnetic connection. It is robust and waterproof, making it easy to clean.

    The lamp is equipped with an E14 lamp socket, an EU plug and an extra warm white, energy-efficient 230V LED.
