MIKE’S Trestle is a sculptural and versatile furniture piece from the NICOLA collection, designed as both a functional support and an architectural object. Crafted entirely from solid oak, it combines traditional woodworking craftsmanship with a contemporary, minimalist design.

The structure is assembled using traditional wood joinery, without screws, metal hardware, or hidden mechanical elements. Every connection relies on the precision and strength of the oak itself, highlighting the material’s natural character, visible grain, and structural integrity.

Its restrained geometry consists of two vertical supports connected by a horizontal beam and stabilized by an intersecting cross base. This balanced construction creates a sense of visual lightness while providing a strong and stable support system.

Designed as a modular piece, MIKE’S Trestle adapts to different uses, spaces, and scales. A single trestle can function as a valet stand or side table, while two or three units can be combined to support long tabletops made from solid wood, stone, or other materials.
