The Artefacto Marble collection, a collaborative design effort by Salvador and Enzo Compañ, comes to life through the skilled hands of artisans at Taller Téllez, situated in Tecali—a town aptly named “stone house” in the Náhuatl language of the region, located in the state of Puebla, Mexico. Meticulously crafted, each Artefacto undergoes a manual transformation, shaped by the artistry of hammer, chisel, and grinder.
While these pieces are indeed replicable, the inherent diversity of vein patterns, colors, and textures found in marble, coupled with the absence of molds in the creation process, culminates in a profound individuality that makes every Artefacto wholly unique. This collection stands as a testament to the harmony between human craftsmanship and the intrinsic beauty of natural materials.
