The ALVA Coffee Table is a sculptural solid wood table crafted entirely from French walnut, combining natural material depth, symmetry, and precise traditional joinery. Its low, elongated proportions create a calm architectural presence, allowing the richness of the walnut grain and natural variations to become the central expression of the piece.

The tabletop is formed from two mirrored solid walnut slabs, carefully selected and positioned to create a continuous organic grain pattern across the surface. This symmetrical composition enhances the natural movement of the wood while giving the table a sense of balance and quiet monumentality.

A concealed central spline system joins the two tabletop sections, providing structural strength while preserving the clean continuity of the upper surface. This discreet construction detail reflects HAUSMANN’s approach to craftsmanship, combining technical precision with visual restraint.

The solid walnut legs are connected to the tabletop using exposed through mortise and tenon joinery. These visible joints highlight the permanence and precision of traditional woodworking techniques, while giving the base a strong architectural character.
