The HRISANTEMA surface from the lime plaster series by Martina Dimitrova is thoughtfully crafted to capture the timeless allure of flower petals. Drawing inspiration from the exuberant and ornate Rococo aesthetic, HRISANTEMA presents a contemporary reinterpretation of floral motifs onto simple and bold shapes. Each object boasts a distinct and organic pattern, evoking the rhythmic and rotational symmetry observed in nature.
Lime is a material that has proven its durability and ability to age over millennia. Through the natural carbonation process, it binds CO₂ from the air and, over time, transforms back into limestone.

“Inspired by childhood memories of my grandmother’s Chinese ceramic stool, the creation of a series of simple stools within the lime plaster collection pays homage to the enduring impact of this seemingly modest object. I vividly recall the irresistible allure of that stool – the way its surface invited touch and discover, its weight grounding it firmly to the ground yet beckoning to be explored in various ways, including climbing and playing as a child. As I reflect on that cherished piece from many years ago, I now appreciate its versatility and aesthetic appeal in a new light. Each stool within this series embodies this appreciation, blending intricate patterns with a smooth, stone-like surface that begs to be touched. These stools carry with them the legacy of that beloved ceramic stool, infusing every space they inhabit with a sense of calm and nostalgia.”

HRISANTEMA is the pattern, which can be used as a veneer on various shapes, sizes as well as interior projects. Clean with damp cloth and be careful with metal parts on clothing when sitting down.
