Description

The TRAMA collection is the result of a collaboration between product design and textile art. Based on the textile work of a Portuguese artist, a fragment was digitized, which was then transformed into a 3D-printed model and used to produce sand molds for aluminium casting. This process gave rise to the aluminum tile and, subsequently, to the shelves of the bookcase, serving as the foundation for the entire collection.
The collection explores the materials and their respective perceptions—textile and metal—challenging their rigidity and contrasting their characteristics. The TRAMA collection, crafted from cast aluminium, features soft, sinuous lines that resemble intertwined threads, thus creating a play on perceptions.
The result is a fusion of art, design, technology, and craftsmanship.

"Joana Teixeira was born in Oporto and graduated in industrial design. From very early she realized that her path would be to express emotions through objects. Joana started her career in jewellery to fulfill the taste for detail, however she felt that her curiosity for the processes and the desire for new challenges needed to be expanded, later embarking on industrial design. Obsessed by emotions and with an extreme sensitivity, she seeks to transmit through her pieces the restlessness with which she observes the world. Creating a close relationship between object and user, mixing creative process with production, material, form and purpose. Aesthetically seeks the harmonisation of the senses, having as premises the attention to detail, sobriety, subtleness and longevity, inspiring and absorbing the chaotic beauty of the world."
