Lounge chair made of black finish steel rod structure and solid colorado wood with a natural oil finish, Ecuadorian cowhide leather seat, and lathed bronze or stainless steel hardware. Available in Olivo, Brown, and Cognac thick leather options/one-of-a-kind Pony Hair leather options. Customizations available upon request.

The first Perfidia collection explores the mutualism between artisan techniques and industrialized manufacturing methods. It is an investigation into the relationship between crafts and automated processes that seeks to highlight the natural characteristics of each method and Material. The furniture has been developed through a dialogue between the artisan and innovation, maintaining the inherence of the process and its manual strokes. To paraphrase the Mexican writer Octavio Paz: “between the timeless time of the museum, and the accelerated time of the machine, these pieces palpitate human time.”

Perfection, existing in the “imperfections” of artisanal methods, is the tool that bestows soul to each piece, moving away from mass production. Steel rod structures are the common language of the collection, achieving a visual sophistication that pushes toward innovation. Sand-casted bronze details contrast against automated manufacturing components, such as CNC-carved wooden parts or laser-cut metal parts.

The Perfidia collection aims to value and revitalize the golden age of the 70s in Latin America; times of fervent and prosperous creation with a personal stamp in various disciplines; the time of Los Panchos and Lucho Gatica. Through this lens, each design is an act of complicity with our ancestors, parents, or grandparents, to honor them in the present day and engage the world with their legacy. Pieces that, like a bolero, bring memories to home and preserve the energy of what we were and the possibilities of what we can create.

ANDEAN is a design studio focused on collectible design, and high-end residential seating and decor collections. The studio combines Ecuadorian artisanship and iconography with modern manufacturing processes. The studio was founded by designer Alejandro Moyano who, after attending Pratt Institute (New York), returned to his native country to join the essence and DNA of his origins with the trend of contemporaneity. The studio's objective is to develop the notion of equatorial design to enhance the Andean material heritage. “Drink from the origin”, techniques, traditions, and materials of the region, to “transpire contemporaneity” through the forms and functions of our daily life. A past that projects us to the collective future of Andean talent and that enchants the world with our Latin American essence. ANDEAN’s practice is an exploration that highlights Ecuador’s iconography and material culture.
