The minimalist and modern design of the Ola side table embodies the theory of solid and void. This theory suggests that the volumetric voids within objects are just as significant—if not more so—than the objects themselves. Ola exemplifies this concept as a minimal side table with a simple form, distinguished by the empty space within it. This void within the solid material not only defines its aesthetic but also makes the furniture lighter and more functional.
The Ola side table can be crafted from various types of marble or green diabase, a volcanic stone. Diabase is renowned for its durability and solid structure. It is sourced from the Alanya Demirtaş region in Turkey, where each rock features unique shapes and varying shades of green, reflecting the beauty of nature.
As stone and marble are natural materials, variations in color and veining may occur, making each piece unique compared to the product shown in the photo.

The Ola side table can be made from brushed or polished diabase stone upon request.

Studio Mohs is a creative studio based in Istanbul for searching and imagining various design experiences in a living environment. The works involve furniture and products combining old material with contemporary style and inspired by basic shapes that create clean aesthetics. We aim to transform the ancient material marble into plain and geometric forms by meeting modern lines and constitute a minimal aesthetic. ​ Compose a language that will break the weight and classical perception of marble that formed millions of years ago with contemporary concept approaches, experimental representations, and 20th -century movements. ​​We continue to create unique forms with strong details by including wood and metal materials.The meaning of Mohs is the hardness and resistance scale of minerals. Related to that, the beginning of a journey starts with the intimacy with marble and stone. The origins of Studio Mohs is coming from a long time experience of marble quarries. Years of working with this material has evolved into furniture, interior, and product design. The journey from nature to our living spaces has begun with the sculptural and completely marble coffee table designs produced in the marble factory in Alanya.
