Description

The Nolastar room divider and curtain system is more than just a functional element, it is a statement of timeless design and innovative materiality.
It is a flexible system that structures, divides, and accentuates spaces without dominating them. It unites lightness and stability, transparency and privacy, function and design. Each material tells its own story and blends harmoniously into modern living and working environments.

Compatible with all standard curtain tracks, both motorized and manually operated, the curtain automatically folds and unfolds, in a rhythmic zigzag motion, creating a compact stack. It takes up minimal space and virtually disappears at the end of the track, preserving spatial openness while ensuring the divider is present only when needed.
The system consists of interconnected panels of 20 by 20 cm, which can be freely combined in height and width. This allows for flexible adaptation to individual
spatial proportions and requirements.

With Nolastar_basic lightness meets transparency. The translucent variant allows soft, diffused
light to flow through while providing privacy without a sense of enclosure. Made from recyclable PET,
it is UV-resistant and moisture-proof, creating a bright, open atmosphere. Ideal for modern interiors that
demand both openness and seclusion.

The lightweight solid wood panels of Nolastar_wood bring warmth and organic texture into any space. With its unique
pattern, each panel adds character and movement, creating a living, dynamic whole. With its clean
lines and natural finish, Nolastar_wood unites craftsmanship with timeless design. Perfect for spaces
that radiate calm and comfort.

With Nolastar_aluminum the room divider and curtain system receives a contemporary update with
a hand-brushed aluminum finish. This technique creates unique architectural interior elements with a
human touch, capturing and refracting ambient light. A choice for urban spaces that value clear structures
and premium materials.

Nolastar is sold by square meter (5×5 panels). The price includes the manual assembly of 1-meter-wide interconnected elements at the desired height, these are connected after installation in the rail.

About Pablo Octavio Visit Showroom →

„Pablo Octavio“ is a multidisciplinary design studio established in 2023 in Cologne by German-Spanish designer Pablo Octavio Schneider Motjér, operating at the intersection of design and sculptural practice. Operating within the discourse of contemporary collectible design, the studio challenges the conventional hierarchies between function and expression. Furniture and objects are conceived not merely as utilitarian forms but as spatial protagonists, objects that carry individual narratives, assertive presences defined by biomorphic silhouettes, and tactile, often deliberately raw surfaces. Central to the practice is an engagement with impressions from nature, textures, growth patterns, erosion, and organic irregularities, which are abstracted and reconstituted through experimental fabrication processes. Unconventional production methods, often embracing material unpredictability, become generative tools rather than technical obstacles. In this negotiation between control and contingency, the studio articulates a design language rooted in intuitive decision-making and the aesthetics of transformation. Handcrafted predominantly in the Cologne workshop, most works emerge as unique pieces or limited editions. Through their singularity, they question industrial reproducibility and reaffirm the object as a site of authorship, material exploration, and story telling potential. In doing so, Pablo Octavio contributes to a broader redefinition of contemporary design, one that privileges emotional resonance, material immediacy, and the expressive capacity of form.
