Luz Sobre Mão is hand-sculpted entirely in papier-mâché, taking the symbolic gesture of an open hand and turning it into an object of light. Standing 58 cm tall, the piece holds a glowing sphere that appears to float between the fingers — a deliberate balance between strength and delicacy in both form and material.
The glossy orange finish sits over an irregular, hand-built surface that keeps the handmade gesture visible rather than smoothing it away, so each piece carries its own unique character. It’s handmade in Brazil and produced as a one-of-a-kind object rather than an edition.
More than a light source, it’s intended as a functional sculpture — something that brings presence and a sense of humour into a room.
