The Indu is a table lamp by Studio Indigene. It waxes and wanes: a frosted glass globe glows from within a curved cradle of warm teak, while a sliding brass shade moves across its face — and as it moves, the light shifts with it, from the full, open glow of a table lamp to the soft crescent of a night light. The gesture is the whole point: you set the mood with your hand, drawing the shade to replicate the phases of the moon.
The body is shaped from a single sweep of teak, its grain running unbroken through the curve, grounding the cool luminosity of the globe in something warm and tactile. Part lamp, part quiet instrument, Indu is made to be touched and adjusted — a piece that changes with the hour and the room.
