Description

Faro, a calming table lamp crafted by Finnish design studio Aalto+Aalto, seamlessly marries the raw essence of coastal style with artisanal craftsmanship. The lamp features a distinctive concrete base, evoking the rugged beauty of the coastline, perfectly complemented by a delicate glass shade. Each concrete base and glass shade in this small series is a unique creation, with the asymmetry of the glass shade and the raw, textured nature of the concrete base intentional elements of the design.

Mouth-blown in the Finnish village of Nuutajärvi, the light grey glass shade conceals the light source until illuminated, revealing the subtle play of light within. The neutral tone of the light adds to the lamp’s versatility. Handmade with care, Faro was initially presented at the Puhdetyö exhibition during Helsinki Design Week in 2019 and has graced the exhibits at Lokal Gallery in Helsinki.

There is a textile covered electrical cord and a European plug. The E14 bulb is easily changeable by simply lifting the glass shade.
