The BAPHO Stool by Atelier Passarelli is part of INOX, a series that reinterprets the studio’s wooden designs through a different material. Its square seat, straight legs and connecting crossbars retain the clarity of the original form, while the carved details of the wooden version give way to clean lines and brushed stainless steel.
The contrast between the stool’s traditional proportions and the industrial character of stainless steel gives BAPHO a distinct presence. Simple in form, the piece reveals how a change in material can transform the character of an existing design.
INOX is a limited, numbered series created to mark five years of Anna Victoria Passarelli’s work as a designer. Each of the eight designs is produced in an edition of five.
