Description

Inspired by a small wooden stool inherited from her grandparents, the BAPHO Mini Stool by Anna Victoria Passarelli reinterprets a familiar piece of domestic furniture in brushed stainless steel. Part of the INOX series, it retains the original stool’s square seat, sturdy legs and crossbars, translating its simple geometry into a new material.

The contrast between the design’s personal history and the industrial character of stainless steel gives the piece a distinctive presence. A smaller version of the original stool, BAPHO Mini brings together memory, proportion and material in a concise, sculptural form.

INOX is a limited, numbered series created to mark five years of Anna Victoria Passarelli’s work as a designer. Each of the eight designs is produced in an edition of five.

Atelier Passarelli was founded in Rio de Janeiro in 2021 by Brazilian designer and woodworker Anna Victoria Passarelli. The studio works exclusively with certified Brazilian solid wood, building furniture that reinterprets traditional craftsmanship for how people live today. Anna grew up around handmade furniture, and that shapes how she still designs: she oversees every piece herself, from concept through prototyping, woodworking, and finishing. The result is furniture built to last, not to follow trends. Produced in small batches, each piece is defined by clean lines and close attention to detail — furniture made the way it used to be made: by hand, to be kept.
