Description

AL-02 is the continued study of aluminum’s deeply layered characteristics. A physical and visual interaction of strength and softness. The AL series focuses on large rectangular planes, allowing the material to absorb and reflect its surroundings. Soft reflections are interrupted by the hard edges of each plane.

White oak is at the core of this table’s structure, concealing the joints that make the connection of the aluminum possible. Slip joints and internal fasteners allow this piece to be fully disassembled. This method of construction helps to ensure a long product life- as each piece can be easily repaired or replaced, helps to mitigate shipping burdens, and allows for separation for end-of-life recycling.

The aluminum is hand-brushed/waxed and the white oak has a clear matte plant-based finish.
