Velora is the name of a functional aluminum sculpture that explores the tension between lightness and solidity, between the domestic and the cosmic. Like an elegant ruin from a future that never arrived, the piece is anchored in the retrofuturistic nostalgia of the 1970s – evoking floating forms, ritual columns, and a materiality that veils the everyday with a renewed sense of reverence.
Made in an aluminum workshop at Mexico City, with the practice of old metal work by hand.
