Description

Inspired by antique Chinese altar tables, the “Table for the Artless Administrator” piece by taupe distorts traditional profiles and motifs, namely the “ball and claw” and the “scroll,” away from their original symbolic uses, repurposing them as a series of interlocked stainless steel members. Joined entirely in tension and compression without any welds or screws, the table is designed to be assembled and dissembled by one in less than a minute.

With each act of assembly, the once polished steel takes on a unique patina, intimately connecting each piece with its owner.
