Description

Conceived as a sculptural composition, the Rosedal Coffee Table brings together three distinct volumes beneath an irregular glass top. Two are hand-carved from solid huanacaxtle wood, while the third is crafted from sealed black recinto. Black recinto, a volcanic stone deeply rooted in Mexico’s geological landscape, brings an elemental, mineral presence to the composition. Arranged in opposing directions, the organic forms create a dynamic interplay of shape, texture, and material.

The design draws on the sculptural approach of Isamu Noguchi’s coffee tables, reinterpreted through Comité de Proyectos’ distinctive use of natural materials and contrasting volumes. The transparent glass top frames the composition without concealing the individual character of each element, allowing the wood’s grain and the stone’s dark surface to remain central to the design.

The Rosedal Coffee Table is offered in its original material configuration, with the option to customize its dimensions.

We are Andrea Flores and Lucía Soto. We have worked designing together since 2010, and in 2014 we founded Comité de Proyectos, a company dedicated to interior design and furniture sales, located in Mexico City.What we enjoy most about our work is translating emotions and sensations into utilitarian objects and living spaces; that is, internalization.
