Description

A magic tapestry is a portable, personal ‘space’ that unfolds into a work station with a domestic feel in a cross-legged position.

In today’s digital working world, it serves as a minimal interior, blending soft handwoven carpet with a small table for your laptop. This portable “space” evokes a sense of home and familiarity, marking your spot like an area on a map. As remote work becomes more common, the magic tapestry offers a versatile alternative to traditional office setups, allowing you to work from anywhere with ease.

About Laura Dominici Visit Showroom →

Laura Dominici designs a slow world as an alternative approach to life. In her work she deals with inefficiency and imagination. For her one-of-a-kind pieces she uses techniques that are rarely used due to their time-consuming nature. Utopian objects are created that aim to be an impulse for one’s own imagination.Laura Dominici (b. 1993) is an Austrian object designer based in Vienna. She developed her practice while studying at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna with Stefan Diez and Fiona Raby and at Tsinghua University in Beijing. She holds a Master's degree in Industrial Design (2021) and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture (2022). She was one of the finalists of the Design Parade Hyères 2022. Her work has been previously exhibited at Villa Noailles, MAKK Museum Cologne, MAK Museum Vienna, Dutch Design Week and London Design Festival.
