    Description

    Galéa borrows its silhouette from classic Greco-Roman drinking cups, then softens it with a surface that echoes the wavy imprints the sea leaves on sand as it recedes. Each piece is 3D printed in France from a biosourced material, and that print process gives the surface its pearlescent finish — one that keeps catching and reflecting ambient light even when the lamp itself is switched off.

    The lamp ships complete with a warm white LED bulb included, though as supplied it is built to EU electrical standards only.

    Sarah Iannarella is a multidisciplinary designer based in France. Graduated in Graphic Design, she pursued her studies with a Master’s degree at the University of the Arts London (UAL), where she explored visual media and the dialogue between emerging technologies and traditional craftsmanship. This dual approach, combining graphic thinking and object design, now informs a hybrid practice.In 2022, she founded Errance, a design studio through which she develops functional sculptures. Her work explores the transformation of two-dimensional forms into volumetric objects, investigating the possibilities offered by 3D modelling, 3D printing, casting, and plant-based dyeing processes. Influenced by organic structures, science fiction, brutalism, and shaped by her Mediterranean heritage, she develops a universe where each piece seeks to transcend its function, becoming a subtle and singular presence with its own aura.
