Description

The Akeru chair by WANNAS, is a virtuoso of subtlety in your accent space, cradling you in comfort while quietly veiling its presence. Its built-in side tables unfurl with a gentle push, revealing the silent dancers of functionality. With a slight ergonomic slant, the chair cradles you in the arms of ease, a poetic embrace for your moments of repose.

The chosen fabric mirrors life’s peripheral movements and whispered conversations. The leg inlays, akin to moments of epiphany, etch themselves into the chair’s journey. Meanwhile, the pig inlays beckon contemplation, urging you to ponder the vast landscape of your perspective.

In the world of Akeru, each element is a crisp metaphor, inviting you to discover the poetic nuances in the everyday.

These are crafted from wood and brass, and adorn a natural matte finish.

Backrest upholstery customisable to match your decor.
Care: Wood matures; avoid abrasive polishes. Restore with coconut oil. Avoid harsh cleaners.
Numbered Edition of 10.

About WANNAS Visit Showroom →

WANNAS is a design dossier where form, materiality, and spontaneity converge to create objects that transcend conventional functionality. Rooted in curiosity, WANNAS explores the uncharted, offering a collection where each piece is as much about process as it is about purpose. Our studio embraces an open-ended approach to design—where a fleeting idea can evolve into a sculptural reality. This fluidity allows us to craft objects that challenge traditional notions of use, encouraging interpretation and interaction. The result is a series of pieces that are not defined by singularity but by their adaptability across various spaces and contexts. At WANNAS, material exploration drives our creativity. We are drawn to the unexpected—experimenting with forms, textures, and finishes to compose objects that are timeless yet versatile. Each creation carries with it an invitation to be viewed and used from a multitude of perspectives.Whether a sculptural statement or a functional accent, our pieces blur the lines between art and design, making them a thoughtful addition to any environment. WANNAS speaks to those who appreciate the beauty of the spontaneous and the structured, inviting a deeper engagement with the spaces we inhabit.
