Handcrafted in my atelier in Brussels, this bookshelf is made from solid oak and walnut using traditional woodworking techniques. The vertical supports and two shelves are crafted in oak, while the other two shelves are in walnut, creating a subtle contrast between light and dark tones that highlights the natural beauty of the woods. Its eco-friendly protective finish ensures a durable, natural look while preserving the rich texture and grain, making each piece truly unique. Standing 130 cm high and 95 cm wide, the bookshelf combines structural strength with sculptural elegance. Meticulous craftsmanship guarantees lasting durability, while its presence adds refined sophistication and timeless appeal to any interior.

Simply wipe with a soft, dry cloth and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or harsh chemicals.

Oggetto Forte is a furniture and art workshop founded by Matteo Villa in Brussels. Our project combines minimalist design with handcrafted, sustainable furniture, creating pieces that are both timeless and functional. Almost all of the wood we use comes from Belgium, carefully selected for its quality and character. At every stage of the process, we focus on sustainability, from the choice of wood to the eco-friendly products used for finishing. In addition to furniture, we create unique art pieces that sit between art and design: wooden frames housing papier-mâché mural works that explore texture, form, and materiality. Each piece is made with the same care and attention to detail as our furniture, bringing a sense of craftsmanship and originality to any space.
