The UNITS are sculptural stoneware ceramic pieces designed with the intention to hold everyday objects, blurring the line between art and design. Spacious enough to hold multiple objects, each abstract and biomorphic unit is adorned with a distinct sculptural handle, adding a unique touch to its organic design. Each one-of-a-kind piece is carefully sculpted, crafted, and finished by hand in Montréal using mixed techniques.

Zeynep Boyan is an artist and designer based in Montréal working with clay as her primary material. She creates abstract and biomorphic sculptures, furniture and other functional objects - all sculpted by hand with an utmost attention to detail. Her sculptures are characterized by their strong emphasis on materials, texture, and form. Meanwhile, her functional pieces aim to showcase the beauty of everyday objects and foster a deeper connection between people and the objects that inhabit their daily lives. Through her work, she explores the themes of identity, connection and belonging by analyzing the relationship between objects, spaces, and materials.
