Timber framing or post & beam construction is an established, sustainable method of building structures using large greenwood beams and traditional joinery techniques. The Timber series celebrates this time-honored tradition by highlighting the raw beauty of its foundational materials. Crafted from a blend of reclaimed and newly sourced Pine harvested in Quebec, the Timber Coffee Table brings together individual logs revealing a striking end grain pattern as the table’s surface.

Studio Lauren Goodman is a sculptural furniture studio using discarded objects and renewable materials to create dynamic collectible design. Goodman’s process begins by sourcing materials from regional waste streams and local suppliers. Through creative investigation into waste as a raw material and combining foraged objects with traditional materials and fabrication methods, she seeks to elevate discarded objects, transforming them into unique one of a kind works. Goodman’s work is more than traditional upcycling. She is actively working to add beautiful and functional solutions to the ongoing challenge of local waste. Goodman was featured in Dezeen’s North American Design, 2024 as one of Montreal’s independent designers to watch. She has received many awards including in 2023, a Wallpaper* Magazine Design Award for best Construction and in 2022 a AZ Design Award, DesignTO Festival Juror’s Choice Award and Wallpaper* Magazine’s Design Award for Material Innovation. Her work has been exhibited at Milan Design Week, Dutch Design Week, NYC x Design as well as with galleries in Italy, Canada, the USA& the UK.
