Description

The side table “String 01” is a sculptural piece of furniture for self assembly made of three interlocking aluminum sheets, tensioned into a stable unit by a brightly colored rope. The construction remains visible: the material, joints, and rope form a clear, architectural structure. The rope is also serving as the furniture’s feet. The result is a side table that is both functional and expressive—a striking gesture in living spaces, lobbies, cafés, offices, or galleries.

The table’s impressive shine is achieved through hand-sanding. We pay particular attention to the tabletop, which is given a faceted look by four different sanding directions.

Product arrives flat-packed for self-assembly.
Raw aluminium will change its apperance over time. It is sensitive to fingerprints.
Despite the utmost care during production, some scratches may remain.

A studio for design withhin the fields of architecture, objects and imagery.Robert Megel studied architecture from 2010 – 2018 at the Technical University Dresden, Germany and Faculdade de Architectura Universidade do Porto , Portugal. He had been working for Herzog & de Meuron in Basel, Switzerland from 2013-2015 and for Rohdecan Architekten in Dresden from 2018-2019. Since then he specialized in visualisation, working for Lindenkreuz Eggert. Beyond that he is focusing on collectible design bringing visions to life.
