The Hashi is a travertine coffee table offered in two stones, a low round table on which the travertine leads and the base keeps its distance. Each stone gives the table a different temperament while the form holds.
Roman travertine is the stone of ancient Rome, formed in the mineral springs around Tivoli, its creamy beige ground softly layered and warm. Titanium travertine runs cooler and more contemporary, banded from silver through to charcoal. Whichever the choice, the travertine coffee table keeps the same restraint, and each top is cut from its own block, so no two are quite alike.
The base is the quieter feat. Two slabs of the same stone are set at right angles, one passing through the other, so the coffee table stands with no bracket and no visible fixing, the interlocking cross-leg join left plain as the only ornament the design permits.
Low and composed, the travertine coffee table settles a living room rather than filling it, at ease in a calm, considered interior. Like every Lebanto piece, the Hashi is an Italian coffee table made to order in Cantù, in Lombardy’s long-established furniture district, drawn from full-slab stone, solid timber, and premium Italian glass.
