    Description

    Laser Lamp takes its cues from the precision of laboratory glass holders, assembling its linear structure from meticulously arranged components along a single axis. At its core, a laser housed in a sleek, surveillance-camera-inspired box projects a sharp beam onto a delicate silver-bird sculpture, playing on themes of observation, control, and fragility.

    The lamp is built from a combination of stainless steel and regular steel elements. Its electrical components can be easily accessed and disassembled for maintenance.

    Around the Studio is an interdisciplinary collective founded by Tika Shelia and Ano Jishkariani, based in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 2021. The Studio explores cultural, social, and political themes through multidisciplinary projects that merge community engagement and collaboration. The studio employs a diverse range of practices, including object design, installation, and relational or video art.  Their practice focuses on transforming objects and materials that emerge from collective actions into functional, everyday items.
