Description

FAT OP is a modular, adaptable standing lamp that adjusts its height to the needs of the user, its massive body evoking living matter and crowned with a concave ‘eye’ in a contrasting colour. When the bulb is lit, that eye fills with light, revealing the hidden colour beneath — the light is directed inward, toward the material beauty of the ceramic surface and the depth of its glazes, rather than outward into the room.

The studio created the OP objects to explore the relationship between colour and light: a tribute to colour’s ability to surprise and transform, and an attempt to shed light — literally and metaphorically — on the material beauty of ceramics.

This two-piece version is finished in ultramarine and saffron, hand-glazed ceramic throughout. It takes an E27/E26 bulb, included, with a delivery time of 6-8 weeks.
