Bench With A Silver Lining
by Spero Furniture · Indore, India

An architect by profession, I, Madhuri Rao, found my true passion in furniture design where form, function, and feeling converge. Inspired by minimalism, sustainability, and timeless aesthetics, I create pieces that blend seamlessly into their surroundings and age with elegance. My practice is rooted in conscious design, with a focus on materials and craftsmanship that respect both people and the planet. This vision led to the birth of Spero Furniture- a brand that reimagines traditional woodworking through a contemporary lens. At Spero, we craft solid wood furniture using age-old practices and natural finishes, while experimenting with materials like metal, contrasting woods, and regional crafts. Our aim is to create thoughtful, artful furniture that carries a sense of place and story. Blending heritage with innovation, every piece is a conversation between past and present, designed to introduce Indian craft traditions to the world in a modern, meaningful way.
