Description

The Anemone lamp by Vincent Decat is designed to embody the diffused glow and perpetual motion of sea anemones. Inspired by the natural beauty of the underwater world, this handmade lamp aims to freeze the graceful movements of this marine creature in a sculptural, ever-changing form. This Anemone lamp is intended to bring a sense of life and movement into the home, inviting the viewer to pause, observe, and connect with the essence of the natural world.
Part of the Modern Creature series, the Anemone Lamp is one of two lamps that embody creature-like qualities which seem to move and change over time. By giving them a sense of life, they become small companions, like pets that people cherish and keep over time.

About Vincent Decat Visit Showroom →

"My pieces are intended to be companions rather than possessions. I give my objects organic, animated qualities, hoping that people will grow attached to them the way they would to a pet."Vincent Decat is a Paris-based artist and designer. Graduated from the Design Academy of Eindhoven, he creates collectible design pieces that integrate sculptural thinking into everyday use. His work is characterized by forms that suggest life and movement, pieces that seem to breathe or shift. These animal-like qualities transform functional objects into personal and engaging pieces. By creating pieces that feel almost alive, he encourages a relationship of care more than consumption. They become companions that people want to preserve and cherish over time.
