A boho table has a harder job than a boho textile. Rugs and wall hangings carry the style through pattern and fiber; a table has to do it through material and silhouette alone, without ornament to fall back on. What makes a table boho?
Three things, and none of them is pattern. Natural material left legible — clay, stone, unfinished timber, with the grain, chip or coil visible rather than sanded into anonymity. Organic silhouette, meaning curved, irregular or hand-shaped instead of squared. And evidence of the hand: a form that could not have come off a production line unchanged.

Concrete discs of varying size and color threaded onto a central rod and fixed with nuts, rising from a round slab base. The fixings are left visible, so the construction is the ornament — and because the discs are stacked rather than cast as one, no two columns read quite the same.

Hand-sculpted from petrified wood — fossilized trees turned to stone by underground mineralization over hundreds of millions of years, their colors and motifs formed by quartz, chalcedony and jasper. The Showbiz Table by Kohelika Kohli Karkhana
Cast brass and solid teak, its textured surface finished with a fringe detail that moves like theatre curtains drawn at dusk. Built from recycled furniture so its memories and history survive into the new piece, with surfaces covered in an ecological material made in Austria from dried flowers and straw. Inter – Side Table by Ieva Gudelaitytė
As a child the designer was given small totemic figures with deliberately distorted proportions, believed to bring good fortune. Inter carries that forward: an organic mixture with a textured, salt-encrusted surface, treating bodily irregularity as a focal point rather than a defect. The word monster comes from the Latin monstrare, to reveal — which is the argument the piece is making.

Trn Table / Model 3 / Solid Wood Side Table by Pani Jurek STUDIO
Hand-made in solid ash using traditional cabinet-making techniques, stained and finished in natural wax rather than lacquer — so the wood keeps moving. It darkens over time while the stain lightens under direct sun, meaning the piece will not look the same in five years. Part of the TRN collection, whose forms are drawn from Tarasin’s paintings and read like letters from an alphabet that does not exist.

Do stone and concrete tables suit boho interiors?
Very well, provided the surface is left honest. Boho depends on materials that could not have been designed by anyone, and stone qualifies completely — no two blocks match. Polished, uniform stone reads as contemporary instead; the texture is what does the work.
How many tables does a boho living room need?
One anchor plus one or two smaller surfaces, ideally not matching. A coffee table with a side table and a stool at different heights gives the layering the style depends on, where a matched nest of three does the opposite.
